Mark 6 NIV A Prophet Without Honor Jesus left
29 (AO)Now as soon as they had come out of the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 But Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once. 31 So He came and took her by the hand and lifted her up, and immediately the fever left her. 21 Jesus and his companions went to the town of Capernaum. When the Sabbath day came, he went into the synagogue and began to teach. 22 The people were amazed at his teaching, for he taught with real authority—quite unlike the teachers of religious law.
6 His clothes were woven from coarse camel hair, and he wore a leather belt around his waist. 25 But Jesus (AK)rebuked him, saying, h“Be quiet, and come out of him! ” 26 And when the unclean spirit (AL)had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him.
3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. 2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.
31 So he went to her bedside, took her by the hand, and helped her sit up. Then the fever left her, and she prepared a meal for them. He was in the wilderness and preached that people should be baptized to show that they had repented of their sins and turned to God to be forgiven. 5 All of Judea, including all the people of Jerusalem, went out to see and hear John. And when they confessed their sins, he baptized them in the Jordan River.

10 And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. 16 (Z)And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 17 Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become (AA)fishers of men.” 18 (AB)They immediately left their nets and followed Him. 41 And Jesus, moved with compassion, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. 35 And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. 34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.

32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were diseased, and them that were possessed with devils. 19 And when he had gone a little farther thence, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the ship mending their nets. 12 And immediately the spirit mark down meaning driveth him into the wilderness. 11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. 5 And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.
Jesus Sends Out the Twelve(J)
27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? For with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him. 21 And they went into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue, and taught. 19 When he had gone a little farther, he saw James son of Zebedee and his brother John in a boat, preparing their nets. 20 Without delay he called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and followed him.
32 So they went away by themselves in a boat(AI) to a solitary place. 33 But many who saw them leaving recognized them and ran on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them. 34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd.(AJ) So he began teaching them many things. 38 But Jesus replied, “We must go on to other towns as well, and I will preach to them, too. That is why I came.” 39 So he traveled throughout the region of Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and casting out demons. 4 (F)John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching a baptism of repentance bfor the remission of sins.
27 So he immediately sent an executioner with orders to bring John’s head. The man went, beheaded John in the prison, 28 and brought back his head on a platter. He presented it to the girl, and she gave it to her mother. 29 On hearing of this, John’s disciples came and took his body and laid it in a tomb. 32 That evening after sunset, many sick and demon-possessed people were brought to Jesus. 34 So Jesus healed many people who were sick with various diseases, and he cast out many demons.
Crowds Follow Jesus(F)
39 Then Jesus directed them to have all the people sit down in groups on the green grass. 41 Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves.(AM) Then he gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. 42 They all ate and were satisfied, 43 and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces of bread and fish. 44 The number of the men who had eaten was five thousand. 45 But the man went and spread the word, proclaiming to everyone what had happened. As a result, large crowds soon surrounded Jesus, and he couldn’t publicly enter a town anywhere.
John Baptizes Jesus(L)
4 John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. 40 A man with leprosy came and knelt in front of Jesus, begging to be healed. “If you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean,” he said. 4 But when they looked up, they saw that the stone, which was very large, had been rolled away. 5 As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe(D) sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed. 19 Jesus answered, “How can the guests of the bridegroom fast while he is with them?
Jesus Accused by His Family and by Teachers of the Law(R)(S)
He had to stay out in the secluded places, but people from everywhere kept coming to him. 27 Amazement gripped the audience, and they began to discuss what had happened. ” 28 The news about Jesus spread quickly throughout the entire region of Galilee. 32 (AQ)At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed. 33 And the whole city was gathered together at the door. 34 Then He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and (AR)cast out many demons; and He (AS)did not allow the demons to speak, because they knew Him.
12 The Spirit then compelled Jesus to go into the wilderness, 13 where he was tempted by Satan for forty days. He was out among the wild animals, and angels took care of him. A large crowd came to him,(J) and he began to teach them. 14 As he walked along, he saw Levi son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax collector’s booth. “Follow me,”(K) Jesus told him, and Levi got up and followed him. 45 And straightway he constrained his disciples to get into the ship, and to go to the other side before unto Bethsaida, while he sent away the people.
Jesus Heals a Man with Leprosy
5 (G)Then all the land of Judea, and those from Jerusalem, went out to him and were all baptized by him in the Jordan River, confessing their sins. 39 (BA)And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and (BB)casting out demons. 29 And forthwith, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 41 Jesus was indignant.i He reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. ” 42 Immediately the leprosy left him and he was cleansed.

- 18 For John had said unto Herod, It is not lawful for thee to have thy brother’s wife.
27 Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, i“What is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.” 28 And immediately His (AM)fame spread throughout all the region around Galilee. 18 For John had been saying to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”(Y) 19 So Herodias nursed a grudge against John and wanted to kill him. 12 They went out and preached that people should repent.(P) 13 They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil(Q) and healed them.
30 Simon’s mother-in-law was in bed with a fever, and they immediately told Jesus about her. 31 So he went to her, took her hand and helped her up.(AP) The fever left her and she began to wait on them. 53 When they had crossed over, they landed at Gennesaret and anchored there.(AX) 54 As soon as they got out of the boat, people recognized Jesus. 55 They ran throughout that whole region and carried the sick on mats to wherever they heard he was. 56 And wherever he went—into villages, towns or countryside—they placed the sick in the marketplaces. They begged him to let them touch even the edge of his cloak,(AY) and all who touched it were healed.
